Start With the Concrete, Not the Existing Finish

Shot Blasting for Large Epoxy Floor Areas

When a wide concrete slab needs a repeatable mechanical profile, shot blasting can strip, clean, and texture the floor in one dry process. You won’t have to build additional drying time into the preparation sequence.

Our fleet includes eight-inch electric blasters, sixteen-inch diesel ride-on units, and thirty-inch electric blasters. That range lets us match the machine to the floor area and production requirement instead of working a large slab with equipment that is too small for the scope.

Vacuum recovery collects steel shot and debris as work progresses. Once blasting is complete, we’ll review the concrete for the cleanliness, texture, and profile required before epoxy work begins.

Diamond Grinding for Edges, Repairs, and Detailed Work

Shot blasting works well across broad open areas, but it isn’t the right answer for every detail. High spots, failed coating residue, repair boundaries, doorways, and transitions can all need diamond grinding.

We use precision diamond grinding and dust-controlled equipment to remove residual material, correct local inconsistencies, and improve surface consistency around detailed work. 

That keeps repair areas and transitions aligned with the preparation requirement for the rest of the floor.

Remove Failed Epoxy Before Recoating

A new epoxy system shouldn’t be installed over failed or poorly bonded material. Before a recoating scope is finalized, the old epoxy has to be removed so the concrete can be assessed.

We remove failed epoxy, adhesives, tile, carpet, vinyl, wood flooring, rubber, and other existing floor systems. Our quiet, battery-powered floor scrapers are practical for enclosed or occupied spaces where propane-powered equipment is not appropriate.

Once the existing material is removed, we’ll clean and assess the exposed concrete before preparing it for repair, sealing, recoating, or a new epoxy system.
